Management Committee

The IDGPA is daily managed by an executive secretariat. Dr André Mbata B Mangu, the founder of the IDGPA, has been appointed its Executive Director. In his capacity as Executive Director, Dr André Mangu represents the IDGPA. He is currently a professor of law in the Department of Public, Constitutional and International Law, University of South Africa. He also lectures at the Faculty of Law of the University of Kinshasa and at a number of other African universities. He is an expert on constitutional and international human rights law, and has written extensively on democracy, human rights and other governance issues. He is a member of the Council for the Development of Social Science Research in Africa (CODESRIA).

Dr Mpfariseni Budeli is the Deputy Executive Director. She also a professor at the University of South Africa and is an expert on labour law and constitutional law matters.

The IDGPA is also served by a team of researchers working at its headquarters in Pretoria and at its Central Africa’s and Francophone Africa’s office in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo.
